This contemporary custom home was affectionately dubbed “the little brother” to the bold, ultra-modern build next door. While it shares a similar design DNA—clean lines, a minimalistic approach, and European influences—we softened the tone for a more inviting, livable modern home.
The vision? Create a space that still embraced modern contemporary design, but with warmth, texture, and a more grounded feel.
Contemporary Design, Reimagined with Comfort in Mind
One of the most immediate shifts from its sibling project was the introduction of light hardwood flooring throughout the home. Where the other build showcased crisp white epoxy floors, this one leaned into natural textures and a warm palette. The result? A softer, more welcoming atmosphere that still reads modern—just with a gentler edge.
To further enhance this sense of coziness, we opted to reduce the ceiling heights from 10 feet to 9 feet on both the main and second floors. While subtle, this decision helped pull the home’s scale inward, creating a more intimate feel without sacrificing openness.
A Euro-Inspired Kitchen, Engineered to Perfection
At the heart of the home lies a German-engineered kitchen that effortlessly blends function and style. Sleek cabinetry, integrated appliances, and smart layout choices give this space the hallmarks of contemporary European design—refined, efficient, and quietly luxurious.
This kitchen becomes the anchor of the interior experience, delivering just the right amount of modern bliss to complement the home’s otherwise soft aesthetic.
Exterior Details That Tell the Story
Outside, natural wood accents blend seamlessly with light-colored stucco, tying the entire home together with a contemporary yet organic exterior finish.
